A 64-year-old driver has died of his injuries a week after crashing into two parked cars in Ramsgate.

The local man was driving a grey Renault Megane Scenic at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 30, when the crashes happened.

He first turned right out of Princes Avenue and then travelled south down St James Avenue, where it hit a parked red Hyundai Accent.

The Renault then carried on and, just before the junction with Whitehall Road, it hit a parked silver Mercedes Vito van.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries early on Wednesday.

Now PC Derek Mole from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit has said: "We are requesting anyone who witnessed either of the two collisions to contact us on the witness appeal line - 01622 798538 - or to email the unit on sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting incident DB/DM/061/16."
