Man taken to hospital and arrested after A299 crash in Minster

A driver has been arrested after he was taken to hospital following a crash.

The 30-year-old, from Croydon, was detained on suspicion of dangerous driving after a crash on the A299 at the Cliffsend roundabout, near Ramsgate.

The incident in Minster, which involved a blue Vauxhall Astra, happened at about 11.20am yesterday.

A woman, who was a passenger in the car, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The arrested man was also taken to hospital as a precaution and is now in police custody as inquiries continue.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something which can help with inquiries.

Motorists are also asked to come forward if they have dashcam footage of the collision or the car travelling along the A299.
