POLITICIAN Sandy Ezekiel is used to thinking on his feet in his role as leader of Thanet Council.

So he jumped at the idea of skipping to highlight the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle to residents, in particular Thanet's youngsters.

Cllr Ezekiel joined KM multimedia reporter Martin Jefferies in an early-morning challenge set by Skip2BFit guru John McCormack, which was broadcast on the Johnny Lewis breakfast show on kmfm.

John wants all 677 MPs to do a two-minute skipping workout at the House of Commons this week.
