Serious incident in Kingsgate Avenue, Broadstairs, after car crashes into wall

Emergency service crews were sent to a serious incident after a car smashed into a wall.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Kingsgate Avenue, Broadstairs, at about 10am today.

There were reports of a car colliding with a wall and fire crews freed a person trapped in the vehicle after it flipped on its side.

Eyewitness Crystal Allen, 17, said: "There is a car laying on its right side across a drive - embedded in the front wall."

Two fire engines, two police cars, one first response vehicle and an ambulance were sent.

The patient was treated at the scene by paramedics but declined further hospital treatment.
