A farmer helped fire crews keep a field blaze under control by using his tractor and plough as a fire break.
Fire crews were called to the field containing stubble in Hopeville Avenue, Broadstairs at around 3.15pm.
The action helped prevent the blaze spreading from beyond the 100m x 100m field, with firefighters also using fire beaters.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately, possibly by youths seen in the area.
