Fire crews tackle house fire in Way Hill, Minster, near Ramsgate

Four fire engines were called to a house fire last night.

Crews tackled a fire in a garage next to a home in Way Hill, Minster, near Ramsgate.

About 20 firefighters were on the scene at around 6.30pm, joined by the British Red Cross and volunteer response team, before leaving at 8.05pm.

A fire service spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a domestic garage attached to a house on Way Hill, Ramsgate.

"Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a main delivery hose to tackle the fire.

"There were no reported injuries at this incident."

The cause is not yet known.
