Fire crews were called to two cars burning behind Dreamland amusement park.

One fire engine parked near the fairground while firefighters used a waterjet to put out the burning cars in Arlington car park at about 5pm.

Thick black smoke could be seen from some distance but it took the crew just 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
