Four fire engines were called to a blaze in a house in Ramsgate last night.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire in Coleman Crescent at around 1am.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets, main jets, and water from a local hydrant to tackle the blaze, before a high pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the building.

The fire is believed to have started within a rear conservatory, before spreading to the first floor. There are no reports of any injuries.

The cause is believed to have started accidentally.
