Police appeal after man punched in the face in The Broadway, Broadstairs

A man was left with a swollen lip after he was set upon by a group of five in Broadstairs.

The 23-year-old victim was walking along The Broadway with a friend when he noticed four men and a woman behind them.

Members of the group started to shout at the pair before one of them punched the victim in the face.

The group then left the scene before police and ambulance crews arrived.

The attack happened at 2.20am on Saturday, August 8.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, but say they do not have descriptions of the suspects.
