BB guns and what is thought to be a revolver have been seized by police after an incident yesterday.

A 43-year-old man from Margate has been arrested after armed officers were called to Godwin Road in Cliftonville yesterday afternoon.

He remains in custody as inquiries continue.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 4.15pm to a report of threatening behaviour at a residential address in Godwin Road, Cliftonville.

"Armed officers attended, as a precaution, due to a report a weapon had been seen.

"As part of their inquiries two BB guns and a small revolver, suspected to be a starter pistol, were seized."
