It was a hat-trick win for Wisewoods Dance School at the UK Street Dance Championships yesterday.

Three dance crews from the Westgate-on-Sea school took first place in three categories at the 101 Events National Championships.

Wisewoods Dance gained a place in the UK final when they competed in the Kent qualifier back in May.

The finals had 2,000 people attend and more than 150 crews competed across the day.

The dance school won first place titles in under 8s beginner team, under 12s advanced team and under 16s advanced team.

They also took top trophy spots for four soloists and three duos at the event.

Teachers Hannah Wise and Olivia Harwood, who own the school, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our dancers for their consistent hard work, energy and passion.

“We are excited for 2018!”
