Martin Lewis, missing from his home in St Peter's Road, Margate.

Police say they are very concerned about the welfare of a Maidstone who runs a car dealership town.

Martin Lewis, 54, who works at the S and B Car and Van Hire in Upper Stone Street, has not been seen since he left Margate home at 8.30am on Tuesday.

He did not return home that evening and was reported missing at 3am on Wednesday morning.

He was wearing jeans, a jumper and a navy jacket when last seen and may be driving a white E-class Mercedes estate or a yellow Citroen with a black roof. The disappearance is out of character.

Insp Neil Ready said: “We are very concerned about him and would appeal to anyone who may have seen him both in Thanet where he lives or in Maidstone where he works – to contact us.”
