Cigarettes and cash stolen in Margate High Street burglary

A "large amount" of cigarettes have been stolen in a high street break-in.

Thieves swiped the cigarettes and a quantity of cash from a shop in Margate High Street, near its junction with Queen Street.

The store's till was damaged during the burglary, which took place between 1am and 8.15am on Saturday.

Police investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or has dashcam footage taken in the area at the time.

Anyone who is, or has been offered cigarettes for sale in suspicious circumstances is also urged to come forward.
