Hundreds of people lined the streets this weekend to celebrate Margate Pride.

Workshops and performances started at the town’s Oval Bandstand yesterday morning, and parties went on through the day and night.

The parade began at the bandstand at 4pm and ended at Margate clocktower at 6pm.

Margate Pride at Dreamland also took place yesterday, and saw B*Witched, Claire Richards and Duncan James take to the stage.

The festival gave Kent’s LGBTQ+ community a chance to celebrate with a jam-packed programme of live entertainment.

It also featured a live bill of drag artists, such as RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Jonbers, Just May, Asttina Mandella and Le Fil, who performed throughout the day.
