Lorry smashed into Honeysuckle Inn in Ramsgate

A grade II-listed pub has been smashed into by a lorry which has left the building unstable.

Honeysuckle Road in Ramsgate will be shut for up to two weeks and a safety zone around the building is being put in place by Kent County Council.

The quaint, grade II-listed Honeysuckle Inn was recently struck by a HGV.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Hereson Road and Dumpton Park Drive, which could be until April 22.

KCC have said the closure is necessary to create a safety zone around the unstable building.

There will be a diversion via Hereson Road, Thanet Road and Dumpton Park Drive.
