A man accused of trying to kill his brother in an alleged stabbing on Ramsgate seafront appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

Marek Pietras was not asked to enter a plea to attempted murder or an alternative charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Rafal Pietras was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries after he was allegedly attacked at a Travelodge hotel in Royal Parade on February 26.

The alleged attack happened at a Travelodge in Ramsgate

Requesting an adjournment, Daniel Stevenson asked that bodyworn footage from police officers be produced at the next hearing.

Adjourning to April 12, Judge Jeremy Carey said: "This is a very serious allegation."

Pietras, a 32-year-old from Poland who gave an address in Germany, was remanded in custody.
