Police arrest man near Theatre Royal in Margate on suspicion of 'dangerous dog offences'

A man has been arrested near a town centre theatre in connection with offences relating to a dangerous dog.

Police arrested the suspect near the Theatre Royal in Margate this afternoon.

The 34-year-old is currently being questioned by officers following the arrest at 3pm.

A police spokesman confirmed he is also being quizzed over a reported theft.

They said: "A 34-year-old man was arrested in Addington Street, Margate at 3pm.

"The man was arrested in connection with theft and dangerous dog offences.

"He is currently being taken to a local police station."
