Man charged over Ramsgate High Street stabbing

A 32-year-old has been charged after a man was stabbed in a high street.
Police were called to Ramsgate High Street just before midday on Monday, after reports a man had suffered stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital, with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
Liam Elward, 32, of High Street, Ramsgate, was arrested in an alleyway near North Way shortly before 5pm the same day.
He has now been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and a public order offence.

He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual link today.
