Margate: Police appeal after man approached woman near Viking playground

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man put his arms around a woman and made suggestive comments to her near a kids' play park.

She was also offered drink and drugs after being approached near the Viking playground in Ethelbert Crescent.

The incident happened at 8.20pm on Tuesday, August 21 while she sat on a bench.

The woman told the man to leave her alone and approached passing dog walkers near the seafront who told him to go away. He was last seen heading back towards the park.

He is described as black, aged in his early 30s, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, well-built, with brown eyes, short black gelled hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt and blue jeans.
