Man allegedly drunk carrying knuckle duster on tracks at Ramsgate station

A man thought to have been drunk and carrying a knuckle duster allegedly staggered onto the tracks as a high speed train hurtled towards a station.

British Transport Police have charged a man with trespassing as well as possessing an offensive weapon after the incident at Ramsgate station.

The man was also charged with a public order offence.

British Transport Police tweeted: "A male who was drunk that staggered onto the tracks towards an oncoming high speed train at Ramsgate has been charged with Trespass, Possessing an Offensive Weapon (knuckle duster) as well as a Public Order offence.

"Well done to @Se_Railway staff that intervened. #YouVsTrain."
