Man suffers head injuries after attack in Margate Road, Ramsgate

A man needed hospital treatment for head injuries after reportedly being attacked as he walked with a woman and child.

The victim, who is aged in his 50s, is said to have been assaulted during a scuffle with another man in Margate Road, Ramsgate.

It happened near the bus stop at the junction of Allenby Road at about 3.45pm on Thursday, December 9, with the suspect said to be wearing a black hooded top or coat.

A 38-year-old man from Ramsgate was later arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail until Sunday, January 2.

Both parties are known to each other but police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident, or from anyone who has information that could help the enquiry
