Man attacked in Appledore Close, Margate, before being found in Western Road

A man was flown to hospital after being found unconscious in the street following an assault in Margate.

The victim was discovered lying in Western Road at 7.54am today. Police have now appealed for witnesses.

The man was flown by air ambulance to Kings College hospital in London where his condition has been described as stable.

It’s believed the man, a 27 year old from Margate, may have been assaulted between 3.30am and 4am in Appledore Close before collapsing in nearby Western Road. However, it’s not known whether he was attacked indoors or outside.
