Margate: Police appeal for witnesses following cash robbery in high street

A man has been a victim of robbery after three men approached him and demanded cash in day light, it has been reported

A man in his 50s was threatened by the trio in Margate High Street.

The suspects reportedly then stole cash from the victim and fled along the High Street, onto Marine Gardens and then along Eaton Road.

It is thought that one of them was wearing a green camouflage jacket.

Officers have carried out enquiries since the incident - which happened between midday and 3.30pm on Wednesday, October 18 - including reviewing CCTV.

They now want anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the incident or who has information to call 01843 222289 quoting ZY/051700/17, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
