Ramsgate: Man arrested after disturbance in St Luke's Road

A man is in custody after police seized a knife from him following a late night disturbance in Ramsgate.

Officers were called to St Luke's Road at about 11pm last night.

There were no reported injuries, however a 20-year-old man from Margate was located nearby and a knife was seized.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assault.

The assault, however, relates to an incident in Broad Street and June 24 where a teenager boy was injured.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the disturbance in St Luke’s Road.

The man remains in custody.
