Dreamland: Maxïmo Park and Toots and the Maytals announced to play in the Hall By The Sea

Maxïmo Park are to play at Dreamland's opening weekend this May, is has been announced today.

The Newcastle rockers will play in the Hall By The Sea on Saturday, May 27 at 7.30pm - the day before the Margate Wonderland festival, which will see acts including The Kills and Carl Barat & The Jackals perform.

The park's opening was pushed back four weeks until Friday, May 26, following further expansion of its 2017 plan.

Maximo Park

Also announced to play at the amusement park are reggae legands and Grammy award winners Toots and the Maytals, on Thursday, July 20.

This comes shortly after the news of sell-out success Demon Dayz festival, which will be headlined by Gorillaz on Saturday, June 10.

It will see the launch of Dreamland's outdoor event space.

Rebecca Ellis, Director of Progamming and Events at Dreamland, said: “We’re so excited to have Maxïmo Park and Toots and the Maytals coming to play at Dreamland.

"It’s going to be a brilliant year for music in Margate and we are confident that our diverse range of live gigs and festivals will deliver for the music crowd.

"With plenty more to announce yet, there’s a lot to look forward to!” .

Tickets for Maxïmo Park and Toots and the Maytals go on general sale Wednesday, April 12 at 10am, via dreamland.co.uk. Dreamland members benefit from an advanced pre-sale for both of these new announcements.
