Two men arrested after cannabis plants found in Margate property

Two men have been arrested after police found dozens of cannabis plants at a property in a residential street.

Officers were called to St James' Park Road, Margate, at about 8.10am today, after reports a man was "acting suspiciously".

On arrival, they discovered about 25 cannabis plants inside the building.

A 38-year-old man from Cliftonville was arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage and cultivating cannabis, and a 37-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and cultivating cannabis.

Both remain in custody.
