Ramsgate earned a creditable 1-1 draw at Metropolitan Police in difficult conditions at Imber Court in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday.

Simon Pettit had headed narrowly over before right-back Andy Hadden superbly half-volleyed the Rams into a 15th-minute lead with a 20-yard drive into the top corner.

Met Police side hit the woodwork through Gary Drewitt, and George Jermy missed from close-range as the home side dominated the rest of the half.

The leveller arrived nine minutes after the break when Jermy broke down the left and cut back for Craig Brown to poke home from six yards.

Gary Mickelborough (pictured) had a late chance to win it for Ramsgate but his low effort was deflected wide by the keeper.
