Miles & Barr's Westgate and Birchington branch collect nearly £800 in donations for Pilgrims Hospices

Miles & Barr's Westgate and Birchington branch say they're delighted to have raised nearly £800 for Pilgrims Hospices in collection tins at Westgate Christmas lights and fayre.

The estate agents sponsored the Christmas fayre which they had a tombola stall at and collected £783.94 in donations.

A spokesman from Miles & Barr said: "A massive thank you to all who donated and gave such great support to this worthy cause.

"Special thanks to Jeanette Bell the event organiser who contacted local businesses to contribute prizes for the tombola, these are just some who donated great prizes: Keel Toys, The Hoy Pub Margate, PowellArms, Frank Thorley, Budget Bazaar, Westgate Garden Centre, Piggy Bank Nursery.

"Thanks to our amazing stall team who were Scott Roberts, Matt Brisley, Steve Cort, Karen Daniels, Amber Goldney, Tom Brisley and James Cussen.

"We had loads of Miles & Barr friends come and see us and join in helping to make this a special day so once again, thank you all!"

Scott Roberts, Matt Brisley, Steve Cort and Karen Daniels of Miles & Barr Westgate and Birchington presented the cheque to the Pilgrims Hospices team.
