A motorcyclist has been injured following a collision with a car.

It happened on the A256 Richborough Way, near Ramsgate, close to the Sevenscore roundabout.

Police and ambulance were called just before midday after the car and motorbike collided.

The motorcyclist is being treated for injuries at the scene.

Police have warned there are delays in the area.

A spokesman for the force said: "Kent Police was called at around 11.55am regarding a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A256 near Ramsgate.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are currently at the scene where the motorcyclist is being treated for injuries.

"Both vehicles are on the hard shoulder and there is some traffic congestion in the area."
