Margate man charged with murder after woman found fatally injured in house in Godwin Road in Cliftonville

A man has been charged with murder after a woman died from fatal injuries at a terraced home in Thanet.

Police were called to a property in Godwin Road, Cliftonville, shortly before 11am on Thursday and discovered the alleged victim.

Forensics teams were seen going into the home, with a heavy police presence in the road all day.

Police remained at the scene this afternoon.

Abdelaziz El Msseyah, 57, of Godwin Road, has been charged with murder following an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
