Motorists passing through a port tunnel are wondering if the latest Banksy has appeared on a CCTV pole.

The painting which looks familiar to the handiwork of the mysterious artist has suddenly cropped up on the bottom of a CCTV pole at Ramsgate Port tunnel.

The artwork shows a rat holding a megaphone with headphones on.

The artwork similar to that of Banksy was seen in Ramsgate

A food blogger Tweeted a picture of the art and said: "Could this be another #Ramsgate #Banksy ? - spotted on #CCTV pole at Ramsgate Port tunnel"

Stencils of Banksy rats are available online. The work has not yet been claimed by the street artist.

It is not the first time Banksy is thought to have daubed his distinctive style of art on buildings in Kent.

Banksy's Art Buff in Folkestone

In September, the artist himself confirmed an image of a woman peering over a plinth on the wall of the Palace Amusements arcade in Folkestone was his handiwork.

Hundreds flocked to the seaside town to catch a glimpse of the work - called Art Buff - before it was removed and taken to the US to be sold.

The rumoured Banksy in Ramsgate

Other rumoured Banksys include a piece in 2010 in Dungeness, which was later thought to have been stolen.

The image was of a vulture with a petrol pump as its head, and it was drawn on a container on the beach near the Britannia pub.

The vulture image in Dungeness was defaced

Another rumoured Banksy work, also in Dungeness, was defaced in August last year.

Then in December, mum Brittany Borshell spotted a stencilled image of a boy holding a rose with the words "Likes Me? Likes Me Not?" written above it in Cannonbury Road in Ramsgate.
