Westbrook: E-fit released as police hunt man with knife who targeted woman in Rancorn Road

A man is being hunted by police after a knife attack.

He attempted to snatch a woman's bag as she walked along Rancorn Road, Westbrook, as she reached the junction with Westcliff Gardens.

In the tussle the woman suffered two cuts to her hand.

The hooded man grabbed the bag and ran towards the seafront. He was thought to have been carrying a knife.

The attack happened at around 7.30pm on Friday, September 23.

The suspect is between 15 and 30 years old, white, about 5ft 7in tall and thin.

He had sunken eyes and was wearing a grey tracksuit with a hooded top.
