Having made history as the first person ever to swim the 2,000 miles around mainland Britain, Ross Edgley is set to return to Thanet to share his story at the Margate Winter Gardens.

Dubbed The World’s Fittest Live Show, Ross will be taking the audience through his 157 days at sea, when he didn’t step foot on land once, as well as sharing the physical and mental fitness secrets that allow him to “unlock superhuman physical potential”.

Ross began his swim from Margate last year on June 1, returning to the shores on November 4. Now, you can catch him at the Winter Gardens at 8pm on Sunday, May 26.

Tickets cost £26. VIP tickets cost £70 and include exclusive signed merchandise, premium seating and a meet-and-greet opportunity after the show.

Promoters say: “His number one Sunday Times Best Selling Book changed our views of physical fitness and his historic swim around Great Britain altered our views of mental fortitude.

“The World’s Fittest Live Show combines the teaching of the World’s Fittest Book with the learnings from 23 weeks at sea, including commentary and confessions from the Great British swim.”

Ross smashed a number of records during the swim, including the world record for the longest staged sea swim of 73 days, set by Benoît Lecomte, who swam across the Atlantic Ocean in 1998.

He also had to battled storm Callum, storm Ali, hundreds of jellyfish stings and a disintegrating tongue caused by salt water - but none of this has been enough to quash his efforts.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Ross has previously rope-climbed the equivalent height of Mount Everest (8,848m) inside 24 hours and finished a marathon while dragging a Mini Cooper.

To book, go to the Winter Gardens website.
