Margate: St Peter's Road closed in both direction after car flips during crash

A road is closed in both directions after a car overturned during a crash.

Traffic is building as the A255 in Margate has been shut in both directions between B2052 for College Road and Addiscombe Road and Alma Road.

The incident is said to involve two vehicles.

There is slow traffic in the area.

Police are reportedly directing traffic.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 7.43am on Monday, January 29, to a report of a two vehicle collision in St Peter’s Road, Margate, close to the junction with the B2052.

"It involved a silver MG which was in collision with a parked black Vauxhall Astra.

"One passenger in the MG suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

"No other injuries were reported.

"The driver of the MG, a 30-year-old man from Margate, has been reported for driving without due care and attention and having no insurance.

"The road was closed while the MG was recovered and had reopened by 9.48am."
