Parents picking their children up from school today have been warned to avoid the front entrance – because of a swarm of bees.

Staff at Christ Church junior school in Ramsgate say the discovery of a nest has forced them to send out an alert.

They confirmed parents have been asked to use a rear access to the building when collecting their children this afternoon.

They added that the nest is “being treated” by specialists.
