Kent Police appeals for witnesses after teenager injured in suspected stabbing in Central Road, Ramsgate

A teenager remains in a critical condition following a stabbing in Ramsgate.

The 17-year-old victim suffered a back injury in the attack, which happened in Central Road.

His condition was described as critical, but stable.

Police confirmed they were called to a report of an assault at around 4.25pm.

Detective sergeant Martin Glynn said: "Police received a report of a disturbance involving the victim and the suspect in Central Road.

"Upon attendance, it appears this fight had escalated and was obvious the victim had suffered a serious stab wound to his back.

"I am appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the incident, who has not yet come forward, to assist us with our enquiries.

"I am particularly interested in speaking with anyone who might have seen the victim near Ramsgate train station in the moments leading up to this incident."
