Police are at the scene of a robbery at a supermarket in Ramsgate.

Officers were called to Tesco Express, Hereson Road at around 8.30am this morning.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.30am on Tuesday 12 December 2017 to a report of a robbery at a supermarket in Hereson Road, Ramsgate.

"Money and a quantity of cigarettes were reported stolen.

"Police are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
