Broadstairs: Suspected dealer arrested after officers seize drugs in Ramsgate Road

A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after police seized a rucksack containing scales, a phone and clear plastic bags.

Officers on patrol in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, saw a man behaving suspiciously at about 10.55pm on Wednesday, August 29.

The bag was recovered in the area, as well as a glass jar containing bags of cannabis.

A small amount of suspected class A drugs were also found.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis, and possession of cocaine.

He has been released pending further inquiries.
