A teenage boy has been sexually assaulted in broad daylight.

The youngster was assaulted in Westbrook Promenade, Margate on Sunday.

He was approached by a man, who spoke to him then touched him inappropriately above his clothing.

The teenager shouted out and scared the suspect who then walked away.

The incident happened between 5pm and 5.50pm.

A 68-year-old man was arrested in Trinity Square at around 6pm on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in custody.
