Teens with penknife mug boy for iPhone and keys in Margate

A boy was robbed by a gang of teenagers who threatened him with a penknife and took his mobile phone and keys.

The victim was walking along Ramsgate Road in Margate, close to the entrance of Chapel Hill Close, when three youths approached and asked for his belongings.

When the boy declined, one of the suspects reportedly threatened him with the blade.

The incident happened at about 1.20am on October 31.

A police spokesman said: "Items were stolen, including a black iPhone, keys and some clothing. The suspects then left the scene on foot.

"All three suspects were described as white boys aged between 15 and 17 years-old, who wore coats or tops with their hoods up and jogging bottoms."

One of the robbers was also said to be as 5ft 6ins, with brown eyes and short dark hair.
