Fran Lane and Louise Collins from Thanet Community Support Partnership

Thanet Community Support Partnership which provides various services for older people with one point of contact for ease of access has created an online directory.

The idea follows consultations between TCSP, Shaping Our Age and Thanet Adult Strategic Partnership where the need was identified for easily accessible and up to date information.

With the help of funding through Kent County Council local members grant there are now more than 500 organisations on the directory from many different sectors, including voluntary, health, community, support groups and businesses.

The aim is to allow older people and those working with them across Thanet access to easily understandable information within three clicks to improve health and well-being, increase independence and boost morale.

* To find out more visit the launch event on February 18 from 11am-2pm at Northdown House, Northdown Park, Cliftonville. Refreshments will be available.
