Getting ready for Thanet's Starlight Stroll

An Abba tribute band will guarantee a great party atmosphere at the Pilgrims Hospice Starlight Stroll in Broadstairs on Friday.

The eight kilometre walk to Ramsgate and back will be preceded by a warm-up with staff from Bannatyne’s health club, Broadstairs, and there’s a bar and barbecue..

Pilgrims Hospice regional fundraising manager Karen Kenward said: “The event is open to men, women and children of all ages.

“You really have to be there to enjoy the sight of a wonderful sea of flashing lights walking along the cliff top, it’s a fantastic sight to see.

“So put your best foot forward and join in the Starlight Stroll knowing you will have helped to raise money for Pilgrims Hospice enabling us to continue to offer specialist end of life care for all who need it both within the hospice and in the community.”

The fun starts at 7.30pm when walkers collect Starlight Stroll T-shirts and enjoy dancing to live music at The Pavilion, Harbour Street.
