Two teenagers to appear in court over attack on woman in The Broadway, Broadstairs

Two teenagers are to appear in court following an attack on a woman.

Jaden Cashen, 18, of Beatrice Road, Margate, is charged with violent disorder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault on emergency workers.

A 17-year-old boy from Broadstairs, who cannot be named because of his age, faces a charge of violent disorder, two counts of assault and breaching a criminal behaviour order.

A police spokesman said: "Although two people have been charged, officers believe there are still some witnesses who have yet to make contact and are appealing for them to call."

The appeal follows a disturbance in The Broadway, Broadstairs, at 10pm on Saturday, December 14.

A woman in her 30s ended up with injuries to her face.

The two suspects were charged on December 15 and are to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, January 13.
