A plume of smoke could be seen coming from the container, believed to contain waste building materials and other waste.

The incident commander issued an early warning message to nearby properties advising residents to close windows and doors as a precaution.

Crews used a fog spike and a cold-cut firefighting system to reduce the temperature inside the container before fully extinguishing the blaze.
