Police appeal after woman punched and robbed in alleyway near Northdown Road, Cliftonville, Margate

Police are hunting two men who hurled abuse at a lone woman before attacking her in an alleyway.

The 25-year-old victim was walking through Trinity Square in Margate when she became aware of two men following her and shouting abuse.

She continued walking and lost sight of them, so turned into an alleyway leading from Northdown Road to Athelstan Road.

She was then approached by the two men, one of whom punched her in the face and demanded money while the other watched.

The victim handed over some cash before fleeing the scene.

She suffered bruising to her face as a result of the attack, which happened at 12.30am on Sunday, January 25.

Police have released e-fits

Detectives have now issued e-fits and descriptions of the suspects.

One is described as a white man aged between 25 and 30, with ginger hair and a northern accent. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with a hood.

The second suspect is described as a white man, also aged between 25 and 30, with dark brown hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark coloured hooded jumper.
