Woman taken to hospital after car falls from cliff in Minnis Bay

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car fell from a cliff this afternoon.

Emergency services descended on The Parade, Minnis Bay following the incident shortly after 12.30pm.

It has been confirmed the woman was in the car when it fell.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with partners including Kent Fire and Rescue Service, the Coastguard and South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"One woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No serious injuries were reported."

The ambulance service confirmed it was also called to the scene.

"A woman was assessed and treated at the scene and has been taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford," a spokesman said.
