What's going on in Thanet today?

It's time to put a spring in your step as the world's biggest bouncy castle has bounced into Dreamland today.

With room for up to 100 people at any one time. it's a whole lot of fun for big and little kids alike.

The mammoth inflatable is filled with 1,143 cubic metres of air and measures 21 metres square.

It will be at the recently revamped Margate park from today until Saturday, August 26.

The bouncing begins at 11.30am every day.

But the fun in Margate doesn't stop there as a splash of rainbow in town today.

The Pride parade will begin at the Lido at 2pm and wind up at Dreamland at 3pm with a party atmosphere until 7pm.

After 9pm, the Cockles and Muscles after party will take over the park for adult parade goers to enjoy a host of DJs, drag queens and cabaret acts.

The culture-rich celebration of LGBT life gives everyone a chance to let their hair down, whether gay, straight and everything in between.

Events have been taking place throughout the week including an LGBT and arts festival.

In Ramsgate, Lark in the Park is back, taking over Government Acre with a fun filled programme for the whole family to enjoy since Thursday.

There’s been plenty going on with the fun starting at 12.45 on weekdays.

Today’s fun day from 2pm until 4.30pm will be open for all ages with everything from a toddlers groups and fun factory for little ones and a tea room for older visitors.

There is still plenty of time to join in the fun as Lark in the Park will be in full swing til Sunday, August 20.

There’s plenty of evening events going on too including tonight's event 'Family Night Out - Mexican Style'.

With Ramsgate’s Lark in the Park and Margate’s Pride parade, Broadstairs isn’t falling short of the excitement.

The ever popular Folk Week began yesterday with the whole town bursting with song and dance.

There’s an array of artists playing in a pubs and venues dotted around town.

Outside isn’t falling short of entertainment though, with many outdoor acts at the bandstand and more.
