Margate's Winter Gardens’ celebrity pantomime got off to a flying start when the cast of Aladdin wowed crowds at Westwood Cross.

Hundreds turned up to meet the stars of the show, including Kent's very own X Factor finalist Ben Mills and comedian Mark Arden, both of whom were inundated with requests for autographs.

Producer Sophie Guariglia, from PPA Productions, said: “Everyone’s really looking forward to starting the production -we want to make it the best show ever!

“I think local people are delighted there’s a celebrity panto in Margate this year.”

The fun-filled production promises plenty of laughs, excitement and adventure as Aladdin travels through the magical caves to win the beautiful Princess Jasmine.

Aladdin starts on Friday, January 16 and runs until Sunday, January 25, with performances every day except for Monday, January 19 and additional performances at the weekend.Tickets cost between £10.50 and £12 for adults and between £9 and £10.50 for concessions.
