Thanet looked picture perfect on Thursday and Friday (January 7-8) after heavy snow turned the isle into a winter wonderland.

Snowmen, snowball fights and snow angels were the order of the day for many families, as thousands of children enjoy a day off from numerous local schools affected by the poor weather.

Drivers faced a more frustrating time as they crawled along icy roads and picked their way through hazardous conditions.

We'd love to see your images of Thanet in the snow or hear how the treacherous conditions have affected you.

Email your pictures and stories to thanetextra@thekmgroup.co.uk. We'll publish the best ones on our website and in our newspaper, although we can't guarantee to use them all.
