Ramsgate Football Club's Ryman League Division 1 South game at Hastings was called off today after players were involved in road accident.

Two players were taken to hospital following the crash this afternoon, though they are not thought to be seriously injured suffering minor cuts and bruises.

The squad were travelling in separate cars to Hastings and the accident involved more than one of the players' cars. Only six of the squad arrived at the Pilot Field Ground.

The game was given the all clear after a pitch inspection this morning and many of the Ramsgate fans would have been making the same journey for the festive fixture.

Ramsgate are next in action on New Year's Day when they host Whitstable Town at Southwood.
